I was thinking this would be a tough
MOTHER'S DAY this year...
with my mom gone.
But it was truly one of my very best, with my family here on earth as well as the love I felt sprinkle down from above!
My day started with a lovely gift  waiting for me when I got up, from my hubby, of bubble bath and room fragrance along with 2 tickets to the musical performance of "WICKED" for me and Jana to go together to in August. He is just so generous... I LOVE him... best hubby ever!

He then treated the family to a lovely sunday brunch at the Hilton Gardens... YUM!

I received 2 more lovely gifts there from Jana, Nels and the kids... A beautiful collage of their family  in a wall hanging that said
LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH on it!
I also got some TOMS shoes, which is a new line Jana carries in her shoe store.
The philosophy on these shoes, is that for each pair purchased, a child in need
receives a pair of shoes.

We also gave Jana and my mother-in-law, Blanche photo collages (co-incidentally).
Jana's had photos of her kids, and Blanche's had pics of her grandkids and 2 great grandkids!


 Colin phoned me to wish me Happy Mother's day from his home in Montreal...
he is always good at remembering the occasions!

We shared a lovely visit with Brian's mom and dad, and his sisters were there at the
time, too, with their families.

We did a low key barbeque supper with just the 2 of us and went to Dairy Queen for dessert!
In honor of my mom, I had her favorite dessert... the small sunday with
hot fudge and
marshmallo topping.

Also this weekend... we shared a nice evening out with friends Joan and Gerry, and they also gave me a card in honor of Mother's day as well as one in my Aunt Jean's honor, too. So thoughtful of her.

I went to visit my aunts, FRANCES and MARY and delivered their cards I had crafted last thursday... and it was more
cherished memories for me!

My Nephew, JEFF, was also engaged this weekend, too... so a lot going on! CONGRATS to him and his new fiance, SAVANNAH.

All in all a PICTURE PUR-FECT and WICKED
weekend of memories over all!

This year I felt a special MOTHER'S DAY LOVE,
From here on earth and also from above.
My family made me feel so sweet,
With all the LOVE, and many a treat!
