WARMEST Greetings and Gifts of the Season!

"Warmest greetings of the season and best wishes for the new year. "

"Christmas is the season of joy, of holiday greetings exchanged, of gift giving , and families reunited."
-Norman Vincent Peale

"Time is a gift, a treasure not to be put aside for the future but to be used wisely in the present. "
-Vikas Runwal

Last Tuesday… we were invited to share greetings and a lovely festive meal
with good friends at my friend, Ella's beautiful and warm home!
We enjoy times shared with Ella, Vern, Bob and Jacquie always.

I came home after that and wrapped about 30 gifts, too,
for Jana  and Nels to take to their family
Christmas in Regina the next day
...good thing  I love to wrap!

Wednesday… Christmas Eve…
We shared a lovely evening with my sister-in-law, Gail,  my niece, Emily,
and my nephew, Alec,  from Vancouver.
They brought us this lovely festive plant as a gift.
Gail also treated us to a delicious Sushi supper she picked up for us.

Alec and Emily captured these photos of Shuffle on Christmas Eve, too…
She opened a Santa Cookie gift… then we dressed her in her cute Santa
attire… Shuffle loves to dress up for any occasion, and she
also loves all the attention she gets when company is here.
SHUFFLE is really quite the DIVA!

Christmas morning was a quiet one… but very nice with just
Brian, Shuffle and me!
Shuffle loves to unwrap gifts…
and she really had the most to unwrap!!!
Brian and I got a Santa hat selfie too!!!
Check out the cute hot chocolate from my friend, Linda…
saying "I never met a chocolate I didn't like!"

Our gifts definitely fell into the "WARM" theme…
Brian gave me this beautiful coat and ugg slippers…
I gave him some new warm shoes along with some sweaters,
shirts and cozy socks… so I know we should be set to
"KEEP WARM… and MERRY ON!"

Christmas afternoon I crafted some special cards for family
which included a cute photo of my father-in-law, GREG,
on them from his last Christmas in 2013.
Brian and I joined Blanche for her first Christmas
without Greg, at her new residence
for a lovely turkey supper there.
The napkins were even folded like trees!
It was a very special evening of sharing with her.

We stopped in at my brother, Bob's on route home from our supper with
my mother in law.  I got a sweet cuddle with my brand new
GREAT NIECE, JORJA…
and also got to be in a few photos with her, as well as one with my two brothers,
Bob and Brian… It was nice to connect with them
as well as with Arleen, Jeff and Savannah.

We have traditionally done a boxing day open house for friends
and family to stop by nearly our entire married life,
so we followed through with that tradition once again this year!
Here are some friends who stopped by to share the warm greetings.

We were happy friends, Courtney and Francois
as well as cousin, Gwen were
able to come to see us… and we had some good bonding
times with them.

Lots of family stopped by on boxing day, too…
It was so special to share family time with these lovely relatives.
I especially loved the cute  "cousins in the kitchen" pic …
Christmas really is all about family and friends and bonding!

Earlier on boxing day… Beau had the thrill of a lifetime
when his great uncle Bob took him for a mini hockey skate
at the big arena… SASK PLACE!
Jeff and Bob both  shared time with Beau, and he loved it!

Beau even got a sleepover at our house on boxing day.
His sister stayed a couple extra days with her cousins in Regina
over the holidays… so Beau felt special to have some one on one with us.
We made a big line up of paper airplanes, too… red, white and blue ones!

One of the most special gifts of the season
was when my son, Colin and his girlfriend,Caro,
visited from Montreal.
Their time here was very short, but we will
remember the wonderful memories…
including this awesome photo.
They are such a happy couple together,
and that makes our hearts smile.

WE are blessed with another happy couple, too,
Jana and Nels make such a sweet pair.
Glad we captured so many special
memories at our photo shoot.
They shared Christmas in Regina this year
with Nels's family.

I shared this photo in my previous blog…
but decided to share it once more.
This was one of the best gifts this year…
time and photos with my cherished family.

One more memory… from Christmas morning…
yummy cinnamon buns, traditional oranges,
and Shuffle patiently waiting to open gifts!
Not only did we Keep Calm and Merry on…
we had so many WARM and WONDERFUL
memories to last a lifetime.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today…
what a week we had … and even more,
what a year 2014 has been.

Today, as I reflect on this past week's events, I also want to say thanks to all who have contributed to my life in this past year.  I began writing in my blog for the very first time on December 31st, 2010… four short years ago… and what a journey I have had since then. I have said this before… writing and recording the fun memories in my life is like a little happy time for me. I feel so blessed and lucky with all the positives in my life. Although there have been some trials along the way, the positive memories out weigh the negatives by a long shot. I do enjoy looking back on the memories recorded in both photos taken and blog posts since this all began… I am so glad to have those memories recorded here to look at as I wish to.

As you can see by my photos… we have had another busy week of fun events… from gatherings with friends and relatives and sharing of gifts and  warm greetings.

Christmas had many special memories this year even though some traditions changed from what we normally do.
One of those was Christmas Eve… we have traditionally gone to my in laws for our entire married life, and this year we didn't. This was our first one without my
sweet father-in-law, Greg.
When we were joined that night by our Vancouver relatives for a sushi supper, our tree lights at the top of our tree flickered and went out…
right around all my ANGEL ornaments on the tree…
I took that as a sign,
that all our ANGELS were with us in spirit.

My iPhone is often chalk full of photos so therefore I cannot capture everything along the way… thank goodness others have been able to share some of their photos with me.
In addition to the above outings and occasions, I shared a nice evening out with my sisters-in-law,
Bev, Brenda and Gail and her Aunt Carol on Sunday evening. We did a girl bond at Moxies together and shared special memories over drinks and appies.

Last night we had friend, Vern pop in for some Montreal smoked meat from Schwartz's, which we received as a wonderful Christmas gift from Colin and Caro, when they came here from Montreal over a week ago.

I have made a few attempts to see my sweet Auntie Mary, but keep getting sidetracked along the way… maybe later today! Here's hoping… I do have a tray of goodies for her.

This morning I went to the gym to take my Tuesday morning favourite class called Body Vive… and believe me I needed the exercise and calorie burn after all the food I've eaten this past week! However the class was cancelled today… too bad… but I did make it to Body Vive last Saturday,
thank goodness! I will need to hit the gym hard
 in the new year!

Tomorrow is my nephew, Luke's birthday… he will be 22. It is also my sweet Auntie Phyllis's birthday… I wish them both all the best as they celebrate their special days.

Friday will be another memory for me as I recall the day my dad passed away 15 years ago. It is hard to believe just how much time has passed since that sad day, but my dad is and always will remain in my heart forever.
I remember him daily… lots of love to the heavens above to him and all of our sweet angels up there.

My wishes and hopes to all of my blog readers for a very WARM and WONDERFUL 2015 as we fast approach it, and I say farewell to this past year and the festive season…
once again it was very good to us.
I am so grateful for so many things in my life,
thanks for being a part of that.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

On that note… here is my rhyme of the day!

The gifts of friends and family always give good reason,
To share the warm greetings and wishes of the season.
It truly is the time of year to get together and share,
And show the many loved ones, just how much we care.
Also feel the love and warmth coming from above,
Sent from our dear angels, that we've lost and love.
Another year has come and soon it will be done,
So time to just reflect upon all the season's fun!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
from our family in our own back yard…
to you and your families!

Last Wednesday we celebrated an early Christmas
with our grandkids and their parents!
You can see the excitement in the kids' faces…
many cherished moments and gifts were shared.

Mariah was kicking it up a notch in her new pug Christmas PJ's…
We shared a gift basket with Jana and Nels…
and we captured many fun photos.

Beau did some special bonding with his dad…
The kids had a fun visit from their great Auntie Bev, too…
who gave awesome gifts…
the build a bear "ninja turtle" for Beau and "Journey Girl "doll
for Mariah…
the kids are pretty lucky!!!
Jana shared a special gift from the heart with her dad, too,
which left us all emotional!

e
Mariah was so happy with all her gifts, and the boogie board and Jenga game
were a big hit… even when Caro and Colin came the next night.

Jana, Nels and the kids spoiled me…
I got a lovely watch, and cute calendar  in fun envelope,
and some nice cologne, too.

Colin and Caro also spoiled us with some beautifully cards hand crafted
by Caro's mom… some awesome BEATLES Yellow Submarine
Christmas Tree ornaments…
and some smoked meat from Schwartz's in Montreal…
all so thoughtful.

We had many very heart warming and special visits.
Beau idolized his uncle Colin… and Mariah idolized Caro.
We got in two visits with Grandma Blanche, too.
Sunday Beau hung out with his Uncle and Poppa!

Friday night we had a house full of relatives to visit .
Beau was very creative playing hockey with plastic containers tied on
his knees  for knee pads,  plastic spoons under his socks for skates,
and a wooden spoon for a hockey stick!
Yesterday my brother Brian popped by briefly too.
Colin introduced Caro to many relatives, but the time ran out
to see them all.
Caro shared that she was so happy to meet who ever she did meet.

Saturday night our kids prepared a lovely mexican meal from scratch…
which we ate at Jana's… followed by a little garage hockey game.
Then Colin and Caro stayed for a hot tub night and sibling bond.

Sunday … good friends, Jorge and Kristen,
took some indoor and out door photos of the family…
so I got my wish to have some family photos done!
Kristen was a former dance student of mine back in the day,
she joined us for a coffee visit after as well.

We did some indoor pics by our tree before  going outside and
having some photos by our big fir tree in our own backyard,
the tress were all so pretty
and have been so picturesque the last few days.

We got one of the kids and their partners and our grandkids.

Jana and Nels and their little family...

A special one of us with our two kids.

I knew I would be pushing my luck to have the
family put on Santa hats… so I got one of me wearing one!
Thanks to Jorge and Kristen…
these photos will hold the memories we shared this past week
in our hearts forever.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS !

Thanks to each and everyone checking out today's
"CHRISTMAS" family edition of my blog.
This past week has been a very happy one and an early Merry Christmas for our family, too.

We were so grateful that our son, Colin and his girlfriend, Caro were able to come from their home in Montreal,
for a brief visit this year during the festive season. Our daughter, Jana and her family are doing their Christmas this year with the other grandparents and the kids' cousins,
so we shared an earlier one this year
as we do every second year.

This Christmas will be a bit different as we lost my dear
father-in-law this past August. Traditionally we have spent every Christmas Eve of our married life sharing family time at the home of my mother and father in law. This year Blanche is no longer in the house, and will do a new chapter of Christmas in her new residence. Brian and I will share a turkey supper with her in her new place on Christmas day.
We hope to pop by my brother's for a bit after as well.
This is an exciting Christmas for Bob and Arleen… being the first one as Grandparents, to sweet baby Jorja!

First Christmases with missing loved ones are never easy and this will be no exception for not only our family, but for my sister-in-law, Arleen, who also lost her father in August, and my cousins who lost their father, my dear Uncle Charlie, this past March. I have been without my parents for many years now, so I know first hand how hard it is to transition  into new traditions and chapters… especially at Christmas time. We will feel their spirit with us, though.
I know all of our special angels will be sharing love from above this year.

I have felt super blessed with all the family times I have shared this past bit… and really this time of year does revolve around family. Even though we are all different, we are all connected by love. The times we can share are cherished memories always.

I am also grateful for all the friends we have in our lives and are so lucky to spend times with many of them as well.
We did our weekly Sunday Fuddrucker's breakfast
with friends, Vern, Ella, Bob and Jacquie…and later today are invited for a supper at Ella's lovely home as well, with that same group of friends.

Last week a friend through my dance years, Pat, had me over to see her many Christmas trees and gave me a few cute doggie collars for Shuffle. Pat is a creative lady and was a wonderful dance grandma to her grand daughter, Andrea, who I taught for years.

Today I had a fabulous Body Vive class at Goodlife gym, and feel fortunate to have such inspiring teachers, there…
today Theresa and Trent taught… and it was fun.
I needed some gym in my life… as I have certainly been eating lots of the good food of the season lately!
They even have a sign in the gym that says:
"MERRY FITNESS!"

Sunday afternoon, we shared some special time with just Beau. We often have just Mariah… and the grandkids enjoy that special one on one time. Beau and I went for a lunch at BP together and he ate his favourite "Bugs & Cheese" macaroni dish he always orders.
He played lots of hockey all afternoon with his improvised hockey "QUIPMENT!"

My life is filled with so many fun things and it is nice to reflect on those. Those are the ones we want to hold on to in life. This past week was a week of many blessings.

Later today my niece, Emily, nephew, Alec and their mom, Gail will be visiting from Vancouver. They are on their second Christmas with out their dad, Bruce.
He does live on in all of our hearts, and always will.

I have two nephews with December birthdays…
Yesterday was nephew, Alec's 21st.
And on the 31st, my nephew, Lucas turns 22.
Happy Birthday to those two…
they are growing up so fast.

We wish each and everyone a very
Merry Christmas
and hopes for the brightest things
 to come in 2015.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

To all my blog readers… thanks
for being a part of my little world.

On that note…
my rhyme of the day!

Happy Holidays from our house to yours,
Spend special time in and out doors.
Be with the ones you love the most,
Celebrate the season, with one big toast!
Cherish the memories, new and old,
Take it all in, it's a lot to behold.
Christmas will come to those who believe...
Give from your heart, and you will receive.
The angels on earth and also above,
Will be all around to share so much love.
Soon this season we will call it a wrap…
Time sure flies... it's gone in a snap.
Wishing a new year with all of the best,
Live each day with love and some zest!

SHARE the MERRY!

-Brian Tracy

Today I was inspired by the Starbucks theme of the season…
"SHARE THE MERRY!"
I have shared many Merry drinks there this past while, too…
this one photographed here was with my hubby!!!

Also I find the new "GIVING KEYS"… so inspiring,
this one says INSPIRE… the concept behind these
keys is the gifts of necklaces and bracelets with keys and words
are to have and give away and SHARE when someone else needs one more.
The company who makes these employs homeless people.
These can be purchased at my daughter's store,
SWANK SHOE LOUNGE.

Last Wednesday night my niece, Rowen and my daughter, Jana were here.
It was our chance to SHARE a birthday gift with Rowen on the day
she turned 15… we shared a GIVING KEY with her, too,
and her's said BELIEVE!

Beau was also at our house enjoying TV last Wednesday night,
while his sister and daddy shared a daddy/daughter date night,
and went to a high school musical of  "Grease".

Thursday night we enjoyed Mariah's school Christmas concert,
which was held at Forest Grove Church… including
the Kindergarten through grade 3 kids.
Mariah was excited to share a few songs and
also some sign language, too… the kids looked so
festive all in red and black!…
(my photos are blurry cuz they are taken from the balcony!)

Thursday my friend Lynne, from Regina came to share some
MERRY and fun times with us for a few days.
She also captured this pic of Brian and me when we enjoyed sharing
some yummy sushi at Sushiro on Friday night.

Friday... friend Ella joined Lynne and me while we were on a STARBUCKS
break from our shopping!

Saturday... I joined friends, Claudette and her daughter, Jill for yet
 another STARBUCKS latte…

I have had a LATTE fun and SHARED a lot of MERRY
at STARBUCKS lately!

While out shopping last week I got these cute Christmas jammies
for Shuffle … and although they are very big on her…
she was happy to share some merry in them!

Later Saturday Ella,  Lynne and I shared one last coffee together,
before Lynne headed back to Regina…
The more the merrier… I am so blessed to
have such good friends to share coffees and good times with!

HoHoHo… what fun!
We attended the Wheaton's kiddie party for kids and grandkids of employees
on Sunday…
Not only did Beau and Mariah share a moment with Santa…
Brian did, too!

Thanks to WHEATON for another fantastic party,
Ross really thinks of everything!

The cute box is one Jana has under her Christmas tree…
I love it… "OH WHAT FUN!"

Mariah enjoyed everything at the party from crafts, to photo booth, tattoos,
yummy food, and her wonderful gift… a beautiful art set.
Not sure why she wanted Elvis Presley tattoo, but it turned out good!

Beau is at such a fun age for the Santa party…
He also loved the crafts, photo booth, his gift of a transformer, and games, food
and his tattoo of a car as well!
Thanks to Scott Cook from Wheaton for  helping out transforming the
guy into a car for Beau… I know he would not have figured it out on his own,
but he was grateful and loved it!!!

Our dear friend Jacquie even loved the photo booth, and was  a candy cane for the photo!
She liked the kit kat sleigh crafts too, and tried to make some at home after as well!
Beau was right into the musical chairs, and also loved the piñata, also.

Nels, Jana and the kids looking on …
and the kids sharing in the excitement of their gifts!

Yesterday I shared more fun with more friends…
Kellie and Cathy and I had a morning of making spanakopita together.
Not only was this fun to share in creating, but in visiting too!
… I am so lucky to have so many great friends to share fun with.

When I came home from my morning with the girls yesterday,
I made batch number 3 of our famous nuts and bolts…
We love to SHARE those with many people…
with Colin and Caro coming this week… I needed to have more to share,
they have become such a family favourite around here...

The more to SHARE... the MERRIER!

'Tis the season to SHARE the MERRY…
and BELIEVE me…
that is exactly what I have been doing!

Thanks for stopping by to read about

and share in my merry adventures of this past week.
It has been very busy, but oh so fun, too!

As you can see by the photos shared here,

there has not been a shortage of things to do.
I have not made it to the gym much but will need to, soon from all the merry I have shared lately!!!

I did actually go this morning to a body vive class and even the gym has  a big sign that  says
MERRY FITNESS at the front of the gym!

This week we are doing an early Christmas with Jana, Nels and their kids tomorrow night as they are sharing the real Christmas day with their other Grandparents and cousins in Regina this year. So we will do our little pre-Christmas celebration and gift opening tomorrow night, here.

We are very excited about my son, Colin and his girlfriend, Caro coming from Montreal on Thursday for a quick 4 day visit. Colin is not as into the CHRISTMAS thing as his family is… but he will be sharing by just being here. He decided long ago that he thought it was too commercialized and overdone, so he chooses to not partake as much. However, he will be emerged  into the decor around here, and hopefully will pick up a bit of the spirit of the season.

I am excited we will have some family photos done this coming weekend… we are not often all together at once, so this is a chance of a lifetime, and it will be super meaningful to me to capture the season we were able to SHARE some family time together. I am hoping Colin will give permission for me to share a pic or two in an upcoming blog as well,
He does prefer to not appear often here.

It is funny how different we all are coming from the same family, but different is what makes us all unique, right?!
I just know the time we can share together will be both special and memorable.

Next week after Colin and Caro go home to Montreal again…
our niece, Emily and nephew, Alec and their mom, Gail, will be visiting here from Vancouver through the Christmas season. So we will have more sharing of fun and merriment!

We are sharing Christmas supper with my Mother-in-law, Blanche, in her new home this Christmas …

it will be the start of a new chapter for us… being the first
Christmas without my father-in-law, Greg.
I know he will be watching from above as we
share the merry there with her.

I have been enjoying wrapping all the gifts I purchased while on my major shopping marathon last week, when my good friend, Lynne came to visit from Regina. I love to wrap the presents and make them look all merry before sharing them.

My basement is somewhat merry looking now… but also messy… so today's project is to get the guest quarters all ready for the company we have coming.

Later today I will get Mariah from school and feed her supper and get her to her dancing lessons, as well…
never a dull moment!

I have recorded many fun and merry Christmas type shows on TV for viewing in my spare time…and the trick will be finding the time to watch them all… hehehe…
hohoho!

Incase I do not get another blog up before Christmas…
I want to SHARE a very MERRY wish from us to you!

On that note… I should share my rhyme of the day
and get on with turning the messy basement from
merry to company ready!

'Tis the season to be busy… oh VERY…
But just keep calm and also merry!
Do the things that you love to do,
Share them with your loved ones, too.
Always be cheerful and also believe…
Remember it's better to give than receive,
Prices and numbers should matter, not,
It's all about precious time and thought!
So at this busy time of year,
Keep it sweet and full of cheer,
Share your spirit, from the start…
Always thoughtful and from the heart!

Better with SPRiNKLES on Top!

"Sprinkle joy and it will come back to you."

When making cookies on the weekend with my grandkids…
the ones with the most sprinkles seemed the best…
just like the hot chocolate with melted marshmallows!

Mariah and Beau came for a sleepover on Friday night and cookie decorating
was a fun activity for Mariah and me…
Beau enjoyed eating them more than decorating them!!!

Friday morning Brian and I met Jana for a yummy breakfast at a place called
Poached… and later Friday when Jana and Nels dropped off their
kiddies for a sleepover, I snapped a pic of them all dressed up
by our tree… everything seemed to have that extra sprinkle of love!

Saturday night was the annual Wheaton Christmas party…
Brian was honoured this season for 25 years there.

My good buddy Linda made a fast trip into the city to shop yesterday…
it is always tradition for us to share a latte sprinkled with fluff on top,
and also snap a pic or two… we are not that great at the "selflies"…
but we did capture the moment!

Last night we shared a nice supper with my mother-in-law,
Blanche, in her beautiful new home…
it was very festive and our evening was sprinkled with
love and wonderful memories!

More fun filled moments sprinkled with love from  our weekend.
Mariah decorating cookies, Beau eating cookies, the kids watching
Christmas movies with their grandpa, and Shuffle in her red ribbon,
snuggled in the cozy blanket.

This morning I popped by my good friend, Ella's to see her
lovely Christmas decor and share a coffee with her.
Her home looked festive  and was sprinkled with twinkling decorations…
and we enjoy time we can share together always.

Last Thursday our very first GREAT NIECE was born…
Today we met the very precious
JORJA KATHLEEN…
she is absolutely perfect… and we brought
her first tutu sprinkled with twinkling stars on it,
and I'm sure she will
wear it well when she grows into it.
Babies are like the sprinkles in life !

Well here it is another week and it has been SPRINKLED with many fun filled events along the way.

One of the most prominent events for Brian and me was the birth of our very first GREAT NIECE, JORJA, last week, on December 4th. Congratulations to my nephew, Jeff and his wife, Savannah, the proud new parents… and to my brother, Bob and his wife, Arleen, on becoming grandparents for the first time. I know first hand just how special becoming a parent and a grandparent is… this new chapter for them will be like the sprinkles on top of life!

We enjoyed our grandkids on Friday night for a sleepover and we had a very fun filled night of cookie decorating and Christmas and festive TV watching among other things… including lots and lots of sprinkles!

We do not have many sleepovers any more, so it was an evening sprinkled with lots of love.

We also enjoyed the annual Wheaton Christmas party this past weekend, and Brian was honoured for his 25 years of work there. It is always a wonderful evening sprinkled with Festive food, friends and fun.

Last week I had a nice lunch outing with dance friends, Brenda, Debbie, and Sheri, and although I did not capture a photo, it was a very nice visit and meal shared together.

Yesterday … in addition to our weekly Fuddrucker's breakfast outing… my good friend, Linda came to the city for a  quick shop, visit and of course another traditional STARBUCKS which we love so much together!
Later we shared a nice supper with my mother-in-law, Blanche at her new assisted living home where she has now lived for just over a month.

I enjoy any thing we can do at this time that revolves around Christmas festivities… and I especially love all the sprinkles twinkles and sparkly decor every where. I really do love this time of year for many reasons…
love the music, the decor and the wrapping and giving of gifts! I do find the shopping harder each year though… except when looking for my grandkids. I have to focus on some of the others we buy for, but I continue to see things I know Beau and Mariah would love!

Later this week I am invited to my friend, Cathy's to make spanokapita with her and our friend , Kellie. Also this week, my good friend, Lynne will visit from Regina for a couple days, too. I know we will get a chance to share some good girlfriend bonding while she is here.

Mariah has her school Christmas concert this week… which will be fun to attend. I always love those little school events where the kids proudly display what they have learned. Mariah has shared that she is doing sign language in it with her class this year… she is very enthusiastic to have us there in the audience.

Next week we will welcome my son, Colin and his girlfriend, Caro for 4 days. We are very excited to have some family get togethers and PHOTOS too hopefully while they are in town. We do not get together as a full family that often.

Wednesday, my niece, Rowen turns 15… hard to believe how fast she is growing up. she is such a lovely girl…and i wish her all the best for a great birthday.

Once again I am feeling blessed for the friends and family that are sprinkled through my life….I enjoy them all.

I also enjoy the Christmas shows on TV at this time of year. Tomorrow night is the start to the new season of the show called "The Sing Off"… which will be a Christmas one , so I know I will enjoy that for sure.

On that note, here is my rhyme of the day…

When given a special cookie making ""OPP"…
They taste much better with sprinkles on top!
SPRINKLE a lot, then carry on…
Just keep calm … and MERRY on!
Life's too short to skimp on SPRINKLES,
And on icing... sparkles and twinkles!
The more the merrier, do it up right,
Cuz 'tis the season for Merry and Bright!
