SWEET ViCTORY!

"If you think you can win, you can. Faith is necessary to victory."
-William Hazlitt

Victory is sweetest when you've known defeat."
-Malcolm S. Forbes

"It is the sweet, simple things of life which are the real ones after all."
-Laura Inglas Wilder

We were married on Grey Cup Weekend in 1976...
since that day forth... we have experienced
lots of "SWEET" and lots of "VICTORY"!

Here I am on Sunday whipping up some SWEET
sugar cookies!

Here are some of the first batch iced  and ready to share with family!
I put GREEN sprinkles on the STARS in honour of our Rough Riders
playing in the Grey Cup on sunday!

Here is Beau and his great grandpa Greg on sunday
when family gathered there for a little  lunch
family get together.
Beau has his mini stick from the Friday night
Blades Hockey game he went to for his first time.
They had a SWEET VICTORY that night, too!

Cousins... they always have fun in the basement at the Grandparents...
Here is Mariah, Emily, Rowen and Beau on Sunday...
playing store in Grandpa Greg's bar!

Later Sunday... the girls joined me at our house to make more SWEET sugar cookies...
and SWEET memories, too!
Here are Emily and Mariah rolling dough for another SWEET batch!

Here is Rowen adding her artistic touch to the
icing of some more cookies.

Another SWEET memory...on sunday... visits with
our sister-in-law, Gail and niece Emily
visiting here from Vancouver.

The girls bonding SWEETLY over some scrapbooking...
while Brian watches the start of the Grey Cup Game.

Watching the second half of the Grey Cup football game at our friend, Vern's,
on Sunday... and Cheering SWEETLY when we were VICTORIOUS!
Here are friends... Jacquie, Ella, Vern,  and Bob all sitting together with Brian.

Saturday night we had a SWEET little family gathering here before the
cousins went out, and the ladies went for a Girl's Night Out...
Here are sisters-in-law, Bev, Gail, Brenda, my niece Emily and nephew Maxwell
all with Brian .

Another pic from our Saturday night fun...
here are my nephews, Luke and Sam... and Luke's girlfriend, Kirsten,
before the cousins all went out for  a sweet evening of fun together.

A few more pics from Emily's visit... this was yesterday... when we took
her to Jana's SWANK SHOE LOUNGE store, followed by a trip to
the Bess, for brunch and then off to see the Garden Architecture Trees.
We enjoyed our SWEET visits all round this past weekend.

First of all thanks for stopping by my little blog filled with SWEET family fun !

Saskatchewan fans were showing lots of RIDER PRIDE following the big Grey Cup WIN on this past Sunday.
I was also married on a Grey Cup Weekend 37 years ago...
I could not tell you who played or who won, but I can say our marriage has been a SWEET VICTORY... kind of like the Grey Cup game on Sunday!

It was a cold but not snowy day on November 27th, 1976, when Brian and I were married at St. Francis Church in Saskatoon. And since then we have shared so many things and our life has had so many SWEET and VICTORIOUS memories along the way.

In my previous blog post, I mentioned how when ever relatives come to the city from out of town, it makes a reason for the local relatives connect. Just last week
my Auntie Betty and cousin Dawn were visiting here from Chicago...and this past weekend, my sister-in-law, Gail and my niece, Emily were in town from Vancouver ...and so this past week or so has been SWEET with many connections and family gatherings.

Brian and Nels  took the grandkids to a Blades hockey game this past Friday night...it was Beau's first time of going to a live game... and he loved it. The Blades were victorious, too, so it was even SWEETER!
Mariah was very insightful... she thought lots of the fans were rude going to a BLADES HOCKEY game in their Green ROUGHRIDER FOOTBALL jerseys! I guess many of the hockey fans are also football fans and were dressed in prep to cheer not only the Blades on to Victory, but in anticipation of the big Grey cup game on Sunday.

I love competitions... but am more inclined to follow dance and music ones than sports related ones. I will be tuned into this season's Dancing With the Stars tonight when they crown the winners and give out the famous Mirror ball trophy... not sure who will be celebrating the
SWEET VICTORY on that show... as it is a tight race,
but my picks for the winners would be
Amber & Derrick.

I am also stilled tuned into The Voice and X Factor singing competitions on Tv, as well...and look forward to the new seasons of The Sing Off to begin on December 9th, and the American Idol to start up on TV in the new year.
I do enjoy all the entertainment shows like those and enjoy seeing new talents emerge.

I did enjoy seeing our relatives both the in town ones as well as the out of town visiting ones over this past bit.
I feel lucky to experience SWEET family around when ever I get the opportunity.

I do enjoy celebrations with friends always too. As well as sharing the fun of the SWEET GREY CUP VICTORY at our friend, Vern's home on Sunday... later today we will join friends, Robin and her boyfriend for a meal out. Later this week we will go to friend's Bob & Jacquies' for a little supper evening, too.

Last night we heard from my son, Colin, when he phoned us to just have a SWEET visit on the phone.
Just this morning I had my friend, Ella, here for a coffee following our sweet workouts at the gym today...

My life is like a SWEET VICTORY!

Tomorrow I wish my SWEET HUBBY a very loving Anniversary... here's to many more SWEET years to come!

Also I want to wish all my American friends and relatives a very SWEET THANKSGIVING this Thursday!

On that note... my poem of the day,

We just experienced victory and it was sure sweet,
Our Blades and our Riders... just couldn't be beat!
Icing SWEET cookies , was also quite fun.
Time spent with my girls made me feel I had won.
37 years ago, on a Grey Cup weekend, too,
I was married and scored a
SWEET WIN, through and through!
So VICTORY has truly been SWEET all around,
Lots of SWEET memories, and more will abound!

"TREE"-MENDOUS FuN with FaMiLy & FRiEnDs!

"As long as you're having fun and you are doing what you want to do, who cares what everyone else has to say?"

"Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life."

This is a FUN -FILLED FAMILY gathering here yesterday
for coffee, cookies and visits by our TREE!
Here with cousins Gwen, and Dawn...
Auntie Betty and my sister-in-law, Arleen.

Cousins Dawn and Gwen extending their visits in the kitchen!

My cousin Dawn bonding with my doggie, shuffle
in her little snowman sweater!

A FUN-filled lunch/shopping outing with my good buddy, Brenda,
last Friday at a restaurant, called Two Gun Quiche, followed by a trip to
Garden Architecture to see their beautiful trees and a fun shop at Winners!

A FUN FAMILY gathering at Gerry's Food Emporium on Saturday
where cousins and family got together over a fun supper outing!

Here Mariah and her little friend, Drew, and Beau enjoyed little dilly bars for dessert,
and also loved watching my cousin, John's daughter, Elaine drawing cartoons!

Sunday following our traditional breakfast outing to Fuddrucker's...
my nephew, Brad and his Wife, Janelle along with my Auntie Betty and cousin Dawn
stopped by for a FUN afternoon visit and sharing of photos!

Monday we met my nephew, Jeff for a little starbucks... and later that day
the Christmas tree decorating began!

Getting ready for the TREE-MENDOUS FUN to begin!

Six boxes of TREE-MENDOUS ornaments for the TREE!

And after an afternoon of TREE-LIGHTFUL FUN...
here is the completed TREE!

One of the TREE-MENDOUS Traditions here at Christmas time
is the making of Nuts & Bolts while putting up the TREE...
this is actually our second batch already this season!!!

Tuesday I made it to add some winter decor to the BSOBAD Dance Studio
bulletin boards and get up a ballet exam theme for the exams taking place there
yesterday and today... I still do the themes there as I am considered the
"Studio Social Director!"

Yesterday after a fun filled visit with the relatives at home...
we met with friends, Ella and Vern...
for a coffee followed by a little supper outing at Montana's!

Hard to believe nearly a week has past since my last blog post!... Time really does fly when you are having fun!!!

This past week has been filled with lots of FUN with family and friends and of course the annual putting up of our Christmas Tree and all the fun that involves!!!

My Tree did present a few issues once again... with burnt out lights, etc... but once I added two extra strings of lights all was bright and merry in my world!

My dear Auntie Betty and cousin Dawn have been visiting Saskatoon from their home of Chicago, since they arrived last Friday evening. I always say this... but it is fun how it takes the out of town relatives to connect the in-town ones! This trip was no exception to that rule... we saw lots of each other this past week over visits, coffees and suppers... and lots of fun all round.

As well I did make it to 2 gym classes this week, and to the dance studio to update some studio bulletin boards as well as connecting with some of our good friends for coffees and meal outings.

I even watched some football on TV... in addition to the many shows I tape and watch on TV... my social life is full it seems... but it is good to continue to be busy. Being busy is what gives us purpose to keep on keepin' on!

This weekend will be another fun filled weekend of more of the same...when more relatives come for a visit from Vancouver this time.

My sister-in-law, Gail, and my niece, Emily will arrive here on Saturday for a few days of early Christmas celebrations.
I look forward to connecting with more of the in-town relatives as well while they are in town.

Yesterday was my brother, Bob's birthday so I sent some nuts and bolts home for him with his wife Arleen!
I knew he would enjoy them even though they also make those as a tradition in their house hold, too!

Later today Mariah will come and hang out here with her grammie D for a little dance practising session again, as we did last thursday. I love it when I can share some one on one time with her... she is such a little sweetheart
to have around.

This weekend... all eyes will be on the Grey Cup Football Game to take place in Regina... I know our TV will be tuned into that event. Go Riders!

37 years ago on Grey Cup weekend... Brian and I were married... so I couldn't tell you much about the Grey Cup game from that season!!!!
Next Wednesday we will be celebrating 37 years of Wedded Bliss... where did that time go... well may I say once again...
"Time flies when you are having FUN!"

On that note... here is my
TREE-MENDOUS poem effort for the day!

My friends and family make my life feel great,
Doing things with them gives cause to celebrate!
Whether visiting... and/or dining out,
It helps to fill my days with fun, without a doubt.
Putting up the tree each year, makes my heart feel bright,
From every little ornament... to each twinkling light!
I feel blessed when I review my life from day to day,
Yep... I am sure lucky... in every single way!

TAP into HaPpY & ExCiTeD!

"The purpose of our lives is to be happy."
-Dahlai Lama

"Life becomes precious and more special to us when we look for the little everyday miracles and get excited about the privileges of simply being human."
-Tim Hansel

"Be happy with what you have and are, be generous with both, and you won't have to hunt for happiness."
-William E. Gladstone

Yesterday we were happy to pick up Mariah from school and take
her out to her favourite place for supper, BP.
She was excited to have time with us that she wasn't having to be
in competition with her brother over!

I get excited when all the Christmas wrap comes out in the stores...
and even though I have a basement full of it already,
I always find myself stocking up on more!!!
Snowmen just make me happy...and I now have brought several
up from my Christmas cupboard in the basement... love this little
happy grouping of them!

Even though these photos are not the clearest...
the memories were both HAPPY and SCRAPPY!!!
Mariah did some dance practice followed by
some scrapbooking here last night.

On Remembrance Day Monday...
we had family over for supper and the kids built a little fort
in the living room.Even though they do tend to make a mess,
I am happy they are able to feel at home here making happy
memories for years to come

My photo skills this week were not my best... but once again...
the memories we captured were happy ones!
I'm excited that Beau still loved to bond with my brother Brian,
after a long lapse of not seeing him. They are always happy to connect!

Another HAPPY moment with the grandkids...
Mariah's toothless grin is so adorable...she has now lost her 4th tooth on top,
so all she needs for Christmas is her 4front teeth!!!

I know I included this photo in my previous blog post,
but due to the fact I had not a lot of new good photos, I'm sharing this one again!
I'm always HAPPY and EXCITED when Brian wants to go to STARBUCKS,
and share a special latte with me.
STARBUCKS also always makes me HAPPY and EXCITED!

Well here I am writing another blog post... and believe me, I do actually get HAPPY and EXCITED to share my simple little life with whoever stops by to check it out!

HEY... I wouldn't be human if I didn't have bad days here and there... but I try hard to share the moments in life that are positive. I like to try to find something each day that makes me HAPPY and or EXCITED, and the days go much better that way.

Since my last blog post... we were hit by a flu bug, but it came and went...and we are both HAPPY to be feeling much better now. In spite of that, we manage to fit lots of FUN into our day to day lives.

We had family and our friend Vern here on Monday night for supper. It was a fun filled visit, too. It has been a while since my brother, Brian, has been over, so I always enjoy connecting with him when ever I can.

Yesterday I made it to the gym for a revitalizing gym class of ZUMBA with instructor, Nicole. After my lapse at the gym, that felt good... so it made me happy!

We were happy to meet up with Jana for a quick little lunch at Great Canadian Bagel yesterday... and when she mentioned Mariah would be doing her dance exams this season, I offered to pick her up after school for a little practice session with her.

I really do not get enough chances to practice with her, and so it was a good opportunity to do that. We enjoyed our time together. We went for a little supper first at Boston Pizza, her favourite spot. Then came home to dance. After she felt she had a long enough practice, she decided to do some scrapbooking with lots of stuff I have gathered in my basement. It always makes me both HAPPY and EXCITED to see her following in my footsteps, and enjoying all the same things I like best! Her and I have really bonded in her little 7 year long life so far!

It is always fun to connect with the grandkids one on one, as they are not competing for attention that way... and that is way more fun for everyone!

I have been shopping a little bit lately long enough to see lots of fun Christmas stuff out everywhere. It always makes me HAPPY and EXCITED!
Just yesterday, I found myself buying more
gift wrap, bags, tags, ribbons and tissue all for my Christmas wrapping to begin. However I have not yet bought any gifts... so that will have to happen soon!

Later today I am meeting with my good buddy, Brenda for a lunch outing. I am always happy to connect with her in her extremely busy life. We hope to also go check out the Christmas trees at Garden Architecture after as well...
I am super excited to see those... they were spectacular last year when I went to see them.

Also I am getting EXCITED for the arrival of my Auntie Betty and her daughter Dawn later today.
They are here for just a little less than a week for a family visit, so I know there will be a few happy family gatherings while they are in town.

Later this month my niece Emily and her mom, Gail are coming for a brief visit from Vancouver as well. Always nice when the relatives come to town.

I am still happily following many shows on TV...and am so pleased I can PVR them so I can shorten my viewing time by spinning through the commercials!

I'm EXCITED to wish two special people a
HAPPY BIRTHDAY today...
Mariah and Beau's other Grandma ...
Grandma Nancy is celebrating today, and so is our dear friend, Robin. Robin just popped by this week for a fun visit as well... she is such a good friend for us.

I was both happy and excited to get a hair fix this week with my wonderful hairdresser, Marla. We always have enjoyable visits when I go visit her...and I come away feeling new again... with my fixed up hair!

Next week my brother Bob, will be celebrating a Birthday on the 20th. So incase I do not get to another blog before then... I will wish him a HAPPY BIRTHDAY, too.

With the onset of Christmas next month... there is lots to be HAPPY and EXCITED about. I am hoping seeing the trees at GA later today will inspire me to get my decor out, too...always a HAPPY thing I get EXCITED to do!

On that note... here is another thing I get HAPPY to do and that is share my poem of the day...

Today I'm feeling happy and excited, too...
The next stretch of time has lots to do.
With the onset of Christmas and many other things,
It's amazing the spirit and happiness this brings.
Fun to have something to look forward to,
It gives life such purpose through and through.
Just to be excited and happy each day,
Is a great way to celebrate along the way!

A Weekend To REMEMBER

"Remember, we all stumble, everyone of us. That's why it's a comfort to go hand in hand."
-Emily Kimbrough

"Every dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember,
within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world."
-Harriet Tubman

"Beginnings are usually scary and endings are usually sad, but it's the middle that counts. You have to remember this when you find yourself at the beginning."
-Sandra Bullock

Mariah attended her very first Triple Threat Dance Convention
this weekend... it was definitely an experience to REMEMBER!
How cute is she here with her top 3 teeth missing?!!!

I still REMEMBER this memory...
here is a vintage photo of Jana with the Triple Threat founders,
CAROLINA, DORRIE & KELLY
in 1999. Jana was a Sr. Scholarship winner that season...
and still has the t-shirts from that year.

14 seasons after Triple Threat Dance Convention began...
here it is still going strong still under the great direction of the original founders.
Mariah did her first one on the weekend, and she was in a
1999 t-shirt to begin with, from her mommy's dancing days!
She quickly changed to one of the new ones though!!!

Here is Mariah admiring the vintage t-shirt from 1999 on her lunch break.
She was one of the youngest dancers on the Jr. ballroom floor amongst many.
Here she is from the back in white on the left at tap...
and in her black TT hoody on the right during afro jazz!

We share many memories with this group on Sundays at Fuddrucker's over
breakfast... this photo was taken last weekend as it turns out...
but we did go yesterday, too!

I shared a fun visit with my cousins, Gwen and Bev at my
Sister-in-law's this past week.
We shared memories as well as planning for more to come,
when next weekend...
Auntie Betty and cousin Dawn come to visit us from Chicago.

Our friend Vern snapped this shot of Brian and I at the willow Grove Starbucks
on Friday morning when we met him there for a little visit and latte!

Later Friday... we picked up a sick little BEAU from his day care and
took him to his house. Brian took Mariah to her dancing while
I stayed there with Beau till his daddy got home.

Saturday after Mariah's dancing fun... she came here and did stuff on our computer.
Beau joined us later...and both kids slept over.

Saturday we chalked up more fun filled memories when the kids slept over here.
Coloring, watching movies, making smurf parades, etc!!! lots of fun times.

Sunda morning's early morning mess before Jana picked up the kids to get
Mariah to day 2 at her Triple Threat Convention at Prairie Land Park.

I am definitely becoming such a regular at STARBUCKS... and especially since
the Festive RED cups came out!
I visited a few times this past week, with a nice visit yesterday, shared
with my two sisters-in-law,
Bev and Brenda.

Today is REMEMBRANCE DAY. We will always remember the soldiers and war veterans who fought for freedom for our country.  According to a statement made on Wikipedia.org...in regard to Remembrance Day...

"The largest indoor ceremony in Canada is usually held in SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, with over 9000 gathering in the Credit Union Centre in 2010, the ceremony participants include old guards(veterans), new guards (currant members of CF), and sea, army and air cadets."

We will always REMEMBER... with the famous poem
"In Flanders Field the Poppies grow..."
I so REMEMBER memorizing this poem in my years of school in the elementary years at Haultain School where I went from grade one through eight.

Today I am also speaking of the memories made just this past couple days for my grand daughter, Mariah.
Jana grew up as a dance student, and attended many dance conventions and workshops along her journey.
In fact she attended at least 3 TRIPLE THREAT CONVENTIONS in it's early years.
This is a very well run Dance convention that tours across Canada  and has over the past fourteen years. The original founders are still in charge and bring in an outstanding lineup of renowned dance teachers to share their expertise with the participating dancers and studios in attendance.

Not only did I watch sisters, Dorrie and Kelly Konno growing up in their dance years... I watched them go on to fame with not only TTDC... but on many levels u above and beyond including dancing with Janet Jackson.

Mariah had excellent teachers at this year's convention...including
Devin Jamieson, Jen Hamilton, Lisa LaTouche,Sean Cheesman and Kelly Konno.

Not only did I see these dance teachers growing up as young dancers them selves... I have seen them all going onto professional dance careers too with things such as dancing with Michael Jackson... to being a choreographer on the famous TV series SYTYCD... among other things.

I am pretty sure Mariah will always REMEMBER this experience as a very fond and inspiring experience at the early stages of her young dance journey!

Because I have been to many Triple Threat Dance conventions in my life as a participating Dance Teacher and a Dance mom... I knew it was a great choice for Mariah.
It felt so different sitting on the sidelines watching my grand daughter... in our family generation 3 of going to this fun filled convention. It truly made my heart smile to see her out there strutting her stuff!

Today we are also REMEMBERING my brother in law, Bruce who passed away 3 months ago to this day.
The sun is shining today as it has on the 11th of each month since he passed in August.
I know he is shining over us from above.

This weekend  was the first anniversary for my nephew, Jeff and his wife, Savannah. I sure REMEMBER their Fairy Tale like wedding held on a very snowy day  last November the 10th here in Saskatoon. Jana and Nels attended a party in their honour on Saturday, while our grandkids slept here.

We had the grandkids for their first sleepover in months...
it was a REMINDER of why we prefer to share the waking hours with them... sleepovers do not invovle enough SLEEP for this GRAMMIE!!!... However that being said, we still had lots of fun and crammed a lot in to a short time before the kids were picked up Sunday morning.

We do not see as much of the grandkids as we once did... likely because of everyone's busy schedules these days. We will be having them for supper again today and make some more fun memories with some more photos, I'm sure, too! (wink wink!!!)... I know my family find it crazy how many photos I do take, but it is my way to REMEMBER the moments in time along the way!

Jana had hoped to take some photos of Mariah yesterday at the second day of TTDC but her phone was not charged to take some... and had I been there on day 2, I could have helped her out... but luckily I did capture a
few photos on day 1!...
just none with the famous teachers!

So on that note... here is my rhyme of the day...

Today is that date in November,
When many take time to just remember...
Those who fought for their country in war,
And for all of the veterans and many more.
I am remembering this weekend as well...
As it was on filled with dance fun... so swell!
Triple Threat dancing was an experience so new,
For my wee Princess, and she loved it, too!

Getting "RED"Y!

"When the bold branches bid farewell to rainbow leaves- Welcome wool sweaters."
-B. Cybrill

"We are always getting ready to live but never living."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions."
-Dahlai Lama

Not only was I "RED"Y/ ready for a fun filled sisterfriend bond from my buddy Linda
when she came to the city last saturday...
we were both "RED"Y/ready to welcome the first day of the RED cups
to ring in the festive season at STARBUCKS!

My cousin. John's daughter, ELAINE had a book launch in the city
this past Saturday... I can see a big future for her...
and I know she is  READY!

Sunday night we had a delicious meal at Jana & Nels's place...
and shared some fun with the grandkids, too...
Built some lego stuff with Beau and danced with Mariah...
even Jana joined in on the dancing fun... always READY to DANCE!

SHUFFLE was not READY to remove her Halloween pumpkin ruffle...
until we had had some more clothes to p replace it!!!
She is always READY to be a DIVA DOG!

Yesterday we picked up BEAU from his day care...and also picked up MARIAH
from her dancing and brought them back here, till their Daddy was
READY to come for them!
We enjoy the kids and are always READY to be with them!

BEAU was ready to bring up the snowman with the train and flashing lights...
this morning I decided I was READY as well to bring up my little festive
Christmas mice for the fireplace, too...
I got them a few years ago...and still love them...
I named them MARIAH & BEAU!

I enjoyed a few drinks out of RED cups this week!
The 4 litre bottle in the bottom right corner... was not such a fun drink...
it was the one I had to drink to get READY for a colonoscopy yesterday.

READY or not... the winter weather has arrived...
It was very pretty looking yesterday on our drive to the hospital for my little
procedure.

I am kind of getting READY for the REDS of the season to come... in fact, I for one am always happy to put away the orange pumpkins from Halloween... and move on to RED. Maybe it is because a lot of our home decor is RED, or maybe it is just that the start of the festivities to come just make me happy... I am RED-Y!

I am particularily happy that the RED cups are here at STARBUCKS... not really sure why except they just make me smile... They have such fun marketing, and I do get excited when they come out... not to mention I love all the festive whip topped drinks that come out, too...and I love the CRANBERRY BLISS BARS... YUM!

I am also listening to Christmas tunes already... yep...
I am READY!!! They are actually playing them on the smooth jazz station on TV already, so I am in!

One drink I was NOT READY FOR this week was the one I
had to drink to get READY for a colonoscopy. The 4 litre bottle of CoLyte was not fun at all...
I had to down 2 litres of it at 5 PM on Tuesday,
and another 2 litres of it wednesday at 5 AM...
the best part of all of that was that my routine colon check up went 100%... and I rewarded myself with a little Peppermint Mocha out of the fun RED CUP and a bliss bar at STARBUCKS on route home from the hospital...
trust me I earned it...and was so hungry after fasting all day Tuesday in prep.

I popped to BSOBAD on Sunday to take down PUMPKINS and hang some RED for the season to come.
I still need to get back there soon to hang more... but will do so after November 11th passes by. Until then we will be celebrating with RED poppies!

We had a fun filled supper with Jana, Nels and kids on Sunday. We love every chance we get to be with them...and are always READY to go over there and share some quality family fun!

Today I am going to my sister-in-law, Arleen's house to get READY for a fun visit from our Auntie Betty and cousin Dawn who will be coming to visit from Chicago next week.

This weekend... MARIAH will be getting READY for her very first ever dance workshop... one called TRIPLE THREAT...it is very exciting for her to begin that fun part of her dance experience... she is young for it, but READY or not... she has to start somewhere! Jana and I attended many of them in our dance careers!

Some of my blog readers know about the journey we are on in our house...and we are always READY for miracles along the way... life is a journey...and day by day we welcome the positives!

Winter seemed to arrive over night this week... and READY or not we will be in for some adjustments to many things... especially driving! I got my winter tires put on this past Monday so I am a bit more READY!

I am always grateful for my supportive friends and family as we journey on and get READY for many things to come...
Thanks to  my friend, Ella who always provides many smiles for me with our visits to the gym... coffees after... texts in the evening and just for always being there for me a positive and supportive friend... she has been super!

This weekend is remembrance day...and we will all be dawning our poppies in support of the soldiers who died for their country.

Hard to believe a year has nearly passed since my nephew, Jeff was married... wishing him and his wife, Savannah, a wonderful first anniversary this weekend on the 10th.
They had a beautiful story book wedding last year, and I still remember helping them get READY for that.
This weekend, we will look after the grandkids, while Jana and Nels attend a little anniversary party for
JEFF & SAVANNAH.
It's been quite a while since we have had a grandkid sleepover... so we are READY!

On that note... I am READY to share my poem of the day!

Once again it's time to move from
orange to RED...
From pumpkins to poppies, and RED cups instead!
Time to remember the soldiers who all fought,
Thanks for the peace to our country they all brought.
Time for RED cups topped with whipped fluff,
Time to get "RED"-Y for all the festive stuff!
Time for slippery roads... icy with snow,
Time to take caution where ever we go.
Time for snowmen...and RED decor,
SNOW much time... for SNOW much more!
I do love things all twinkly and bright...
Tis the season to make spirits seem right.
I love RED... and I'm "RED"-Y for it all...
It's my favourite colour, and we are done with fall.
"RED"-Y for some winter, and also some WHITE!
We have to just be "RED"-Y...
'cause it came over night!
