SWiNG into BUSY!

"Love life, engage it, give it all you've got. Love it with passion, because life truly does give back, many times over, what you put into it."
-Maya Angelou

Mariah and Beau enjoying the swings
and the nice weather
while their daddy worked on the deck
Saturday.

My father-in-law GREG popped by
to see the progress on the deck
and enjoy his great grandkids, too!

Hubby, Brian... Nels and brother Brian
all working hard on the deck!

Mariah under her
UMBRELLA- ELLA!
Entertainment for the guys as
 they finished up the deck!

BEAU was  having fun with
SHUFFLE'S doggie dishes!
Amazing what keeps a child entertained!

My Nephew Jeff and his new fiance, Savannah
at their engagement party, Friday night

A special supper with my
nephew Brad and his wife Janelle,
after the purchase of their new car!

Powering through after the sleepover!

MR. CROWNLINE excited
to take his boat for it's first ride!

These last few days have been a whirlwind of activities around here.  There is never a dull moment, that is for sure!

After my 3 full days of babysitting Beau last week, I also got Mariah for a bit on thursday and friday, too, while her daddy worked on the deck.

Nels and his buddies got the whole deck down and hauled away by friday... and ready to put up the new one on saturday.

We booked SHUFFLE into doggie daycare for the weekend while doing the deck, and it was easier not to have her among the commotion here!  She always comes home pooped after a few days of hanging out with her doggie pals at
HAPPY DOG ACRES!

Friday night my nephew, Jeff, had an engagement party and lots of the family was  there, along with many of their friends and work buddies. It was held at a lounge in the city called Beiley's. We are very happy for Jeff and Savannah and wish them lots of love as they enter the next chapter of life together.

Saturday was a full day of doing the deck.  Hubby, Brian, Nels...and even my brother, Brian got in on the act. He actually popped by to say hi to the two grandkids who were here all day, too, and then he became part of the working crew! He was very good about helping out, even though that is more than he bargained for when stopping by!

My father-in-law Greg stopped by, too and was able to see the deck progress while sharing some cherished time with his precious great grandkids! Mariah shared her yellow chips and a good little visit with him while he was here.

As the day progressed saturday... the kids became more and more busy getting more and more things out and on the go! Mariah became the little dancer who entertained the workers, while Beau entertained himself with the dog dishes inside!... Bit by bit the house became messier inside and out!!!

Brian ended up selling a car to my nephew, Brad and his wife, Janelle...and they stopped by too, to see us. They decided treat us to supper, too!

So I had lots of relative connections over the weekend.

Mariah and Beau had a sleepover here on saturday, which went well considering they were here all day, too! I think all the fresh air and activity all day made it easy for them to get to sleep. I was pretty tired, too!

Sunday Brian decided he would take his new boat out for the first time... so he, Nels, Mariah and a friend... went to Blackstrap for the day and had a blast. Brian is over the top excited about his new CROWNLINE BOAT... and is ready for lots of summer family fun!

I didn't go boating this time because I had a wedding shower to go to for a former dancer. It was held at Brenda's house (owner of BSOBAD). The theme of the shower was "That's Entertainment". The gits were to have an entertainment theme...  Bride -to -be, Paige, got some lovely gifts, and the shower was like a great dance reunion of lots of dancers and dance moms... fun times. Brenda always hosts a good party!

By the time all the activities were done for the weekend... I was truly ready to put my feet up and relax!

Today was another babysitting day with Beau. I met Brenda at Starbucks this morning and Beau was pretty good... but he does like to be on the go... so our outing was brief!

Tonight was a good night on "Dancing With The Stars" on TV...and another chance to put my feet up again.

Tomorrow I look forward to a morning of gym... I might do the TWO classes... Body Vive and
Body Flow ... bring on TWOS-day!

                BUSY only partially describes
                     how crazy it was here.
With all the many functions on
                    and family all so near!
From taking down and putting up...
we now have our new deck!
The old one was sure rotting away,
in fact it was a wreck!
I babysat the grandkids, as just a little perk!
While their daddy did our deck...
and it was lots of work!
                    Some special celebrations...
                   were on this weekend, too!
                   There wasn't a dull moment,
                         not even one or two!
So much stuff went on last week,
                            Busy busy times!
It's been a while since I could blog
                         or even do some rhymes!
