CHOCOLATE Cake in HEAVEN!

Today would have been my mom's 83rd birthday... so I am blowing kisses up to HEAVEN today and am hoping she will be enjoying a piece of the finest CHOCOLATE cake up there.
That was her favorite... (mine, too!)

My Seize the Day calendar says this today...
"Believe in your dreams. They are the fertile garden of your soul". - Robin Pickens

My oatmeal happy heart tip said...
"LEAVE TIME TO DREAM"

These are the CHOCOLATE Cupcakes
I made for mom's birthday last year!

Here is mom with my brothers and me last year
at her Prairie Spring Care Home
on JUNE 29th in celebration of her 82nd birthday.

I put a PARTY HAT on the little CHERUB- ANGEL
in my garden to honor mom's birthday today!

My brothers and me with mom
at a family barbeque in our yard... summer of 2007

I have just spent about the last half an hour trying to add photos here of mom... but the blog site is acting up on me today... hmmmm!
That is so frustrating!

Anyhow I had some great ones picked, too... but after watching the wheel go round and round on the picture adding thing, I decided to just get on with the writing part of my blog!

Today is mom's first Birthday Celebration in Heaven, but I know she will enjoy it, because her and dad will be celebrating together again.

Mom was a unique lady and we shared so many wonderful mother daughter bonds. One of the many was the time we shared going to
JAZZ FESTIVALS together each year.
That became tradition for us, especially once dad passed away. I would pick her up daily and off we would go to hear some free jazz in the park together. My friend Linda from Lanigan often joined us too, and one of my pics for today was one of us 3 enjoying music in the park...
but this blog isn't letting me add it!
(you will just have to visualize it!)

Mom loved people... she loved to be a part of things... many called her a "BUSY BODY"...
she was often getting involved in stuff that really didn't concern her... but her intentions were always good!

Her and I were both the baby of our families...and we both like to be pampered and babied, too! hehehe

You knew where you stood with her... she really said it as it was... good or bad! That is what we all loved about her! We referred to her many "quirky"  little traits as "MARILOU-ISMS"!

She had to have the same table when we went out for breakfast at our favorite spot called the Coachmen. Lord help us if "HER" table was taken! I have been back to the restaurant since, and mom's favorite waitress, Chantelle, says she still worries when someone sits there thinking MARILOU won't be happy when she comes in! Then she remembers, mom won't be in anymore!

If she didn't like something she was known to give her ever famous "MARILOU EYEBROW"... which my brother BOB could imitate so well! I have pictures of that, too... which have brought us many laughs!

Mom had a heart of gold though and she wore it on her sleeve always. She would help out anyone in need and was always good at looking out for the "UNDER DOGS" in life.

Her family meant the world to her, and in the end she didn't always know us... but I know she cherished our memories.

Her final year was a struggle for her... she spiraled downhill so fast in the end... but the memories of her quality years are the fond ones we will remember forever.

Mom and Dad were a team...
 They did everything together.
Needless to say when dad died suddenly in January of 2000...
Mom was left scrambling on her own.
It was hard to see her missing him so much.

They owned the family business of
ECONOMY HARDWARE where they worked together daily for 12 years.

Mom was a hard worker in her working days...and she took every job seriously. She was a teacher, and store clerk, and
an AVON LADY extra ordinaire!

She loved Garage sales... and not only shopping at them but running them, too.

She was a collector... and had many collections from dolls, to plates to all her AVON collectables

Mom was appreciative and enthusiastic!
I know those two qualities I admired about her so much!

Both mom and dad were a huge influence on who I have become and they always showed me love support and pride. Mom was always
my biggest fan at at all the dance related things. To MOM... my dancing was the BEST!!!

Last night I attended a great concert at the Broadway Theatre here in the city.
It was a show featuring
MAURICE DROUIN and BOBBY KLASSEN
and friends and the show was entitled
NEW YORK, NEW YORK.
Maurice and Bobby both played at both of my parent's funerals, too.
I couldn't help but think of how much both
MOM and DAD would have just
LOVED that show.

I know mom and dad are likely enjoying many dances together in Heaven now. Their favorite song was always "SATIN DOLL".
I found the cutest version of it and posted it to my Face Book page today. For those of you reading this who are not face bookers... you can go to YouTube and check out
SATIN DOLL by 7 year old Emily Bear.
She plays it masterfully, and it is so cute, I know mom and dad would love it.

Yesterday at my Body Flow class at the gym, Trent, the teacher, used my favorite cool down song again which reminds me so much of my parents, every time I hear it.
It is also on YouTube and called
"One Hundred Thousand Angels"
by Bliss.
(I know I have mentioned that
one before in previous blogs!)

I was wishing I could have attached more photos here today, because the pictures are what  keep the memories alive,
however... this site won't let me in today.
(Maybe I will try again later!)

Mom wrote this in my autograph book when I was young...

"LAUGH and the world laughs with you...
CRY and you cry alone."

Today in celebration of mom's birthday I will go enjoy more free jazz in the park at our 25th annual Jazz Festival.

Tonight I will go to a HOLLY COLE concert at the Broadway Theatre with my cousin Gwen, and we may just have to have some CHOCOLATE CAKE somewhere, too!

Here is my little poem for today for my mom!

She'd want it CHOCOLATE, 'cause it's the best,
For her it's better than the rest!
She'll want her table, her favorite one,
Without being there, she just won't have fun!
She'll want the band to play "SATIN DOLL"
That's her favorite song of them all.
Her and dad will dance up a storm,
Because for them, that is just the norm.
She will want it to be a day to celebrate,
And my wish for her, is that it is GREAT!
I'm sending MOM wishes,
blowing kisses to the sun...
I'm thinking of her birthday and
I hope she's having fun!

HoT... CooL... & JaZZY!

I have been enjoying the JAZZ in SASKATOON the last 4 days... RAIN or SHINE!

"We don't stop playing because we grow old: we grow old because we don't stop playing."
-George Bernard Shaw

"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference." -Winston Churchill

Mariah is such a little free spirit...
she loves to dance out front at the Jazz festival!
Here she is yesterday in her little pink cowboy boots, just givin' er!

Beau enjoying some sunshine and
free live jazz in the park yesterday!

Brian and the kids at the
"Don Griffith and Chunk of Funk"
free noon hour stage in Bess park yesterday

Me and the kids after moving
to a shadier location in the park!

I love how kids just make friends so easily.
Mariah once again made some new little friends
to dance with at the Jazz  yesterday
...and they all had a blast!

Here is a pic of "HOT CLUB EDMONTON" in the free stage
in the rain on Saturday.
I also heard them as the lead up to
"MARC ATKINSON TRIO"
in the BASSMENT  saturday night.

Sunday in the park watching the
"STONE FRIGATE BIG BAND"
and the traditional dancers who always come out
and strutt their stuff right in front!
(They really think they are something...
Mom used to complain about them, so I could almost
hear her voice on Sunday when they were there!!!)

Here is "MAURICE DROUIN and FRIENDS featuring JAMIE DONLEVY"
on sunday through many weather changes... on cue to the song choices!!!
She sang "STORMY WEATHER" and it instantly poured... then she sang "BLUE SKIES" and the sun came back out and the skies became blue instantly, too... it was incredible!
Jamie has a fabulous and sultry voice, this was my first time hearing her.

A couple "TRADITIONS"
UMBRELLA and STARBUCKS!!!
(I was missing my good Jazzin' buddy,
Linda from Lanigan to go with these this year!)

MAURICE DROUIN with Singer HEIDI ?
And his saxaphone player BOBBY KLASSEN,
Last night at 2nd Avenue Grill restaurant.
This singer was very good, too, also one I hadn't heard before.

Brian and Me having some dessert following
our yummy meals at 2nd Ave. Grill last night.
I had Peanut Butter Pecan Brulle and Brian had Cheese Cake!
I look tired here!!!... but I loved the music...and the food, too!

From JAZZ MUSIC... to JAZZ DANCING!
Here is good family friend, STACEY TOOKEY, as seen here on last week's
"So You Think You Can Dance"  as a choreographer on the USA version.
She was also seen as a judge last night on the Canadian version of the show.
All you "SYTYCD" watchers stay tuned for her...
she is fabulous at her job... and such a sweet person inside and out, too!
I also saw some familiar dancers among the auditioners in the Canadian show last night...
congrats to all who tried out.

Yesterday was to have been a
"BLOG WRITING" day for me...
but the day ran away without me!!!

I absolutely LOVE JAZZ FESTIVAL week in Saskatoon, but it is busy...go, go, go all week.
There is so much to do and so little time for anything else!

This year Brian took the week off, so he is able to join in the fun  as well. He isn't quite as passionate about the music as I am though, so sometimes I go on my own!

We were to have gone to Montreal this week for the Jazz Fest there, but I suggested with all the other expenses this year...
(new boat, new deck, new barbeque)
that we stay here and enjoy our own festival instead. We did go to Montreal's Jazz Festival 2 summers ago for their 30th anniversary year, and we loved it. It is very big... but I personally am just as happy with Saskatoon's, and love that we see lots of familiar faces when attending from season to season, too.

Here is an article from the Saskatoon Express little monthly newspaper that comes out on our JAZZ FESTIVAL...
The SaskTel Saskatchewan Jazz Festival is the second largest jazz event in Western Canada, and the fifth largest in Canada. It has assembled a lineup of talent that does justice to the 40 ticketed events and the 76 free events. There is 141 individual performances,  72 percent of the musicians call Saskatchewan their home, and there will be action on 18 stages or venues. More than 325 volunteers will help to coordinate the event. It is estimated that the festival has a $4.5 million impact on Saskatoon's economy.

Our festival runs from June 24th- July 3rd so today is the half way point of it already. I always find the time just flies when it is on...
then I find it kind of flat afterward!

Tomorrow is mom's birthday... the first one she will celebrate in HEAVEN.
I sure think of her and dad lots during
JAZZ FEST!
They loved to go, too! I hope to do another blog in dedication to mom on her birthday tomorrow, as well. I feel as though mom and dad have been enjoying the festival from the skies above!

My dad's brother,  and my UNCLE CHARLIE also had a birthday on the weekend. I phoned him to wish him well, but didn't find him at home when I called. I hope to do some jazzin with his daughter, my cousin, Gwen  as well this week!

We babysat the kids yesterday and took them down to some free jazzin in the park. They loved it... especially Mariah. I love how she makes new little friends each year when we take her. And the little ones love to get up and just dance away in front of the stage! So cute!
Beau is now walking... but only a few steps at a time... when he chooses to, but that , too,
is so cute to see.
Such a darling stage in a little one's life!!!

Brian and I will go to a concert at Broadway Theatre tonight featuring my favorite local artists... Maurice Drouin , Bobby Klassen and lots of others as well. This will be my fourth time attending a concert featuring them at this festival... all have been at different venues,
but always enjoyable.

Saturday and Sunday were mixed bags of weather from Sun to cloud from dry to wet, from hot to cool...and even
some thunder, lightening and hail!
But it didn't keep the DIE- HARD Jazz fans,
like me away!

Today I hope to get to the gym as well... in between all my JAZZIN' IT UP!

Under the sunshine or even the rain,
One thing at JAZZ FEST will always remain,
Weather is but a small thing
 and I don't need sun...
I just need the JAZZ and people for my FUN!

25th... and all that JAZZ!

... AND it's off to JAZZ we go!

A couple of happy little rollers out with the stroller ready to JAZZ it UP!!
This is one of my very favorite times of the year... yep sure is... JAZZ FESTIVAL time...
I love, love, love it!

My Seize the day calendar today says this...
"Lovely moments are like seeds in the soul that grow into tender memories."-Robin Pickens

Here I am proud to show off my two grandkiddies this morning at the JAZZ FESTIVAL.
This was a new venue this year beside the Garden Architecture and it was so pretty.

Here is proud Poppa Brian with his little BEAU
at the jazz fest this morning!

A little stop at the Farmer's Market
where we ran into Brian's sister, Bev,
and her husband's sister, Diane from Vancouver.

Mariah had a beautiful face painting... she was so proud of it...
she said she was leaving it on till she was all grown up!

Jana and her kiddies when we picked them up today.
Nels is in the background here, too!

which is the hub of all the JAZZ FESTIVAL activities!

JAZZ STREET in Saskatoon!

Brian and me JAZZ FESTIN last night!

25th Year Anniversary of Saskatoon Jazz Festival.
Here is a "Jazz Fest Mobile" for transporting the musicians!

This is such a fond time of year for me for many reasons! I always attended the JAZZ FESTIVAL with my parents. When my dad passed away, I continued the tradition with my mom, taking her, until she no longer remembered!

Today is the 25th of the month... which is the 8th month anniversary of mom's passing, so she was on my mind even more today at this time of JAZZ FESTING, which I did so much of with her.

It is also the 25th Anniversay of the SASKTEL Saskatchewan Jazz Festival.

I would say that Saskatoon does a great job of hosting this event each year. Not only do I enjoy the music everywhere, but it is a time that signifies so many
fond summer memories for me.

The festival brings in a large variety of musical styles extending beyond JAZZ, but it is the JAZZ style I have the biggest passion for. I got that passion for music such as big band, standards, and smooth jazz, from my parents who instilled that love in me in the first place.

Now I must carry that torch and pass it on to the next generations of the family. Today we introduced BEAU to the jazz festival. We took both kids to a new venue this morning and it had the style of music both mom and dad would have loved. Infact MAURICE DROUIN was the pianist in the band playing this morning. He also played at both of my parent's funerals.

Brian and I were out to the JAZZ in BESSBOROUGH park last night... and it was truly hopping down there... There was a reggae band followed by a blues band in the FREE STAGE. Many spectators were out, due to the fabulous weather.
We also popped by the back of the main stage of the BESS GARDENS where the featured opening  night act was MACY GRAY. Sounded like a very enthusiastic crowd out for her, too.

There is so much going on in and around the city, that it is almost hard to take it ALL in... but we do try to get around.

I plan to head back to Bess Park here shortly and get more fill of free jazzin in the park. Later this evening Brian is treating me to a concert at our local jazz venue called THE BASSMENT, where we will hear the "MARC ATKINSON TRIO" and the "HOT CLUB EDMONTON".
They play a gypsy style Jazz... which I enjoy.

We will attend a few other paid for concerts throughout the week, but mostly I will attend as much free stage stuff as possible! It is always fun to connect with lots of the Jazz fans and friends we see there year after year!

So due to the fact I am just on my way back to do more JAZZ FESTIN' I'll call this a blog!...
"AND ALL THAT JAZZ!"

This is such a JAZZY time of year...
One I always hold so dear,
Memories of past and of new ones, too.
I just love what this time of year can do!

BaBY SHoWERS...& BeYoND!

As I sit down to write today's blog it is with pure joy in my heart...it is all in tribute to BABiES!!!

"A baby is like the beginning of all things, hope, dream of possibilities."

"A baby is a blank cheque made payable to the human race."

"Babies are such a sweet and nice way to start people."

(The above 3 quotes were taken off a baby quote website, none had authors listed!)

Here is Mariah meeting her dance teacher's baby
ALEXANDRA RENAE!
Miss AMBER and her mom, Gailene, are also in this picture
This was at the baby shower held in their honor at the BSOBAD dance studio last night.

By the look on Mariah's face you can see
she enjoyed meeting the new little baby.
The baby was absolutely adorable,
here looking like a real life DOLL!

Here is a gift basket I created for AMBER and ALEXANDRA
 from Jana, Mariah and me!
In the background is a little ALEXANDRA banner I made as well.

Here is BRENDA... "QUEEN BEE"  of the BSOBAD dance studio with the most "BEE"-lightful
gift for Amber's baby... a little BEE TuTu and stripy outfit to go under it, it is just TuTu cute!
She also ordered an OPRAH baby bib for her off the Oprah website which says "O" Yuck!

Mariah had created a special picture for ALEXANDRA and wanted to give it to her all by her self...
here the baby was sleeping, but Mariah kept close watch to see when the baby was awake to present the picture to her when she could see it!

We called ourselves... MARTHA STEWART 1 and 2!
Here is  the studio secretary, Kellie , and I after decorating the studio.
Many gifts were delivered on behalf of people unable to attend prior to the shower.

Here is my cousin Gwen after we assembled her wonderful gift for Amber from the entire
ADULT TAP GROUP (Which Amber taught this season)
Gwen collected money from the group and shopped up a storm and got so many fabulous and perfectly suited gifts which filled this toy basket to the brim.
We had a fun little visit while wrapping it up the other day as well!

Here is a spec- TAP-ular cake from one of the adult tappers that she made &
brought to the shower last night.
It, too, was just so ideal right to every detail including the little TAP SHOES on top of the cake!
I marvel at anyone with talents such as these... wow what a cake...
and it was YUMMY, as well as gorgeous.

And here is a pic of Mariah with both of her dance teachers, MISS CARA and MISS AMBER
co-incidentally both in black and yellow(quite suited to the BEE of BSOBAD!!!) .
CARA shared some EXCITING NEWS last night as well...
She is going to be the next DANCE TEACHER at the studio to have a baby
some time in the beginning of the new year.
CONGRATULATIONS to her... she will also make a good MOMMY!
Mariah idolizes these two great dance teachers, they are such perfect role models for her.

Last night was a fun baby shower for MISS AMBER from BSOBAD. She gave birth to her first baby on the day of this season's dance recital. It is simply TUTU cute that her little girl would make her DANCING DEBUT that way!

Both Jana and I taught Amber dancing at my dance studio, and I continued to teach her at BSOBAD when my studio closed in 2002. Then Amber went on to becoming a teacher herself, and now teaches my grand daughter, Mariah... talk about full circle!

I now hang out with Amber's mom, Gailene, and we have become very close friends in this past few years with all of our
common interests and bonds!

Amber has become a very wonderful and well respected dance teacher at BSOBAD.  Many of her students and dance friends came out to share in last night's fun and meet her darling little baby girl, Alexandra.

Last weekend I attended another
BABY SHOWER.

This one was for a special little baby boy,
BRAXTON!

Jana's good girlfriend, Shelane, gave birth to her first baby on May 22nd.  Shelane and Jana have been good friends since they met at high school in grade 9.

They have been through many fun times together along the way.  Shelane even travelled with us to Edmonton 5 years ago to meet Mariah the day she was born.
To Mariah she is "HANTY SHELANE!"

Shelane then had Mariah as her flower girl at  her wedding 3 summers ago. WOW hard to imagine Mariah was only 2 then!!!

Now Jana will be  a special "HANTY" to little baby Braxton... and the tradition will continue!

Jana and two other girlfriends put on a very nice baby shower in Shelane's honor. Shelane also held one for Jana when Mariah
was born as well.

I love that they are such good friends and now can share this "MOMMY" phase of life together.

Cupcakes with an OWL theme. Shelane has a nursery decorated in this theme, as well.
These were pretty darn tasty cupcakes, I might add!

Meet BABY BRAXTON JAMES...he is absolutely adorable,
and was such a good baby at the shower, just as Amber's baby was at her's.
I only wish I took more pics of him, but I am sure there will be more photo opps in my future!!!

Apparently Shelane referred to her baby as a "LITTLE BLUEBERRY" through her pregnancy. This gave the girls an idea to make up BLUEBERRY JAM as a little souvenir for the baby shower guests.
Aren't these little jams so cute?!

Here are the girls who planned the shower for their friend, and guest of honor!
Left to Right...
Becky, Shelane, Jana, Laura.
I love the big BLUE poofs hanging in the background... I tried to copy those and made some pink ones for Amber's shower last night... (mine were not nearly as poofy  or as full!!!)
They are definitely a cute addition to any decor.

Shelane  reading my little crafted card, with Jana looking on!

My two gift baskets before they had cellophane on them.

SHELANE'S with the BLUE/ OWL related theme...
and AMBER'S  PINK one with PRINCESSES, BUMBLE BEES and more!
Each has a little polka dot piggy bank with some 2011 coins in it for the year the babies were born.

I think MAY is a fabulous month to have a baby... my first grandchild came in MAY as well...
and it worked out good for us!

When babies come into the human race...
They are so precious in their brand new space.
They are like a STAR from heaven above,
They come complete with so much LOVE.
They start out small but then they grow,
They are loved more as the days go.
BABIES DANCE right into our heart...
That always happens at the start.
PRECIOUS, CHERISHED, and oh so SWEET...
BABIES really can't be beat!

EVENTFUL!

"If you have something to do, someone to love, and something to hope for,
everyday becomes a  celebration."
- Anna Trimiew

"On with the dance!
Let the joy be unconfined:
No sleep till morn,
When youth and pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet."
-Lord Byron

One of the "MANY" cute faces from Beau
yesterday when I babysat him!
He just finished rubbing his blueberry covered face
on the side of the high chair!!!

Jana doing a CHEERS to her dad at the Sunday
supper she hosted in his honor for FATHER'S DAY.

POPPA BRIAN enjoying his two darling grandkids
 at Jana's on Father's Day.
MARIAH recorded  herself singing
"For he's a jolly good fellow "
to her own tune in the card she gave him... so cute!!!
Such a treasured "KEEPER"!

NELS and his gift and card from us
Father's Day.
Beau joining in!!!

A pic from last year's JAZZ FESTIVAL
here at the Broadway free stage with my friend LINDA.
We have always done a traditional JAZZ It UP DAY!

Brother Brian entertaining at the JAZZ FEST last year,
this is the concert Linda and I were at in the photo above.

MARIAH getting her GROOVE ON centre front
 at last year's free stage
by the beautiful  BESSBOROUGH  HOTEL.
I can't wait to introduce BEAU to some free jazzin in the park this year!

A couple of my FAVORITE LOCAL JAZZ
artists... BOBBY KLASSEN on Sax
and MAURICE DROUIN on piano.
These two are seen here in the free
pocket  park venue last year at the jazz fest.
They also played at both of my parent's funerals, too.

A cute decoration at the baby shower I attended saturday.
(More on BABY SHOWERS in my next blog!)

My "MARY ENGELBREIT Calendar says this for the month of JUNE...

"Act happy, feel happy, be happy, without a reason in the world."
-Dan Millman

My daily quote off my SEIZE THE DAY Calendar for today says this...
"Be open to possibility."
- Robin Pickens

My life has been rather "EVENTFUL" lately,
but it is the best way to be!

My last two blogs written were a couple of my favorites, in tribute to the great dads in my life.

I have found a really satisfying purpose in my blog writing this year and once again thank each and everyone who choses to
"TAP into my SIMPLE" life and read all about it.
I am truly flattered when you join in!

Last saturday was a baby shower hosted by Jana and two of her friends  honoring their good friend SHELANE,
who had her baby BRAXTON on May 22nd.
They did a fabulous job of honoring them and hosting the baby shower.
I love holding brand new babies!!!
I will post more pics from
that "EVENT" in my next blog.

This wednesday the dance studio is hosting another baby shower for MARIAH'S dance teacher Miss Amber who gave birth to her little girl, ALEXANDRA on May 28th.
I am helping Brenda with the planning and decorating, etc, for that one. I know it will be fun as well. My cousin Gwen also has Miss Amber for a teacher of her adult tap class, so Gwen put together a wonderful gift on behalf of the adult tappers and brought it here for my assistance in wrapping yesterday. That pic will also follow in my next blog, after wednesday night's shower!!!

If you are reading this and know AMBER... please come to the"BABY" shower at the studio
at 7 PM tomorrow night... JUNE 22nd...
the more the merrier!

The weekend was a great celebration of
DADS and GRANDPAS!
We shared some time with my father -in-law GREG and also had a lovely lasagne supper at Jana's to celebrate her dad, and my hubby, BRIAN, and also NELS father to my sweet grandkids , Mariah and Beau!

My good friend Linda from Lanigan has had some tough luck in her life this past week.
She owns and operates the
"Lanigan Advisor" Newspaper  and their form of distribution is the weekly mail outs.
Unfortunately with the postal strike nation wide, it is putting a damper on her business.
But to add more stress to her life, her husband, Dennis was in a bad motorcycle accident on father's day in Montana. He takes an annual trip with buddies and relatives, and this was his yearly "EVENT" again, which ended in this bad turn of events.

Linda flew to be with him and has assured his operations thus far, have been successful.
I was thankful to hear that news.

Those were a couple of "EVENTS" Linda wasn't planning on, and due to that I am pretty sure she will be unable to share fun with me at this year's annual JAZZ FESTIVAL here in town. It has always been "tradition" for as far back as I can remember knowing Linda, that she come to the city and JAZZ it up with me, during our annual JAZZ FESTIVAL.

I will be JAZZING it up for sure, though. I am excited to introduce BEAU to the festival this year. MARIAH has loved her experiences with it to date. Last year at festival time BEAU was still a bump in his mommy's tummy!!!

We also have a wedding to attend the final weekend of the festival week for  some friends of ours who's son is getting married in Waskesui.  So all in all there are many events coming and going on around here for sure.

I will head off to my tuesday morning
"BODY FLOW" at the gym shortly.

Later on today we will babysit both kids while Jana and Nels go out to celebrate the
second anniversary of  their shoe store...
"THE SWANK SHOE LOUNGE"
with co-owners.

I am enjoying all the reality on TV
and especially all the dance shows.
"So You Think You Can Dance Canada"
began last night. Watching those shows is like a full time job in itself with each episode being 2 hours long and 2 shows for each a week!... With the American and Canadian versions both on at once that is 8 hours of TV
alone per week in just dancing!
Thank goodness I can tape and cut some of the watching time by spinning
forward through the adds!

Well that pretty much brings you up to speed with some of the "EVENTS" in and around here for now... stay tuned for my BABY SHOWER feature on Thursday's blog!
(I have pretty much decided to try to stick to my every second day format of blogging now!)

There's always a lot going on around here...
I just LOVE this JAZZY time of year!
From babysitting... to baby showers, too,
There is always something to CREATE or to do.
Soon I'll be sitting in the park in the sun,
Enjoying the JAZZ and having some FUN!
I'm loving TV with all of it's DANCE...
So really it isn't only by chance,
That I love my family, my friends and my dog,
And also look forward to doing my blog!
