Sharing Shamrocks!

We were invited to a lovely SHAMROCK            inspired breakfast today at our friend's
                       BOB  & JACQUIE'S
BOB and JACQUIE
The decorative table
festive with shamrocks
Jacquie's niece joined us all for breakfast, too.

On this very sad weekend  of JAPAN'S tragic earthquake, tsunami and reactor scares...
I watched more CNN news than I have ever watched.
It was nice to have an upbeat diversion to take our minds off the disasters happening on the other side of the world.

Our dear friends, Bob and Jacquie invited us to a lovely breakfast in their beautiful place.
The meal was delicious and so festively presented, too. We are so LUCKY to have friends like this in our lives.
SHAMROCKS were the theme
of the decor as well!

I am reminded so often how KINDNESS goes so far in life. I have a little quote book called
"KINDNESS" by Lenore Skomal

Here are a couple of great quotes from it...

"We are made kind by being kind. "
-Eric Hoffer

"Better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness. "
-Chinese proverb

"Wherever there is a human being, there is opportunity for kindness. "
-Seneca

... there are so many great quotes in this little book, but here is a quote from another little inspirational pocket book I have...

"The guardian angels of life sometimes fly so high as to be beyond our sight, but they are always looking down upon us."
-Jean Paul Richter

After weekends of sadness for others in need such as the people of Japan,
quotes are what get me thinking and help me hope for brighter days in the future for them.

Today was so beautiful out here in Saskatoon, and we barbequed burgers and my brother, Brian joined us for a yummy supper. His birthday is coming up on St. Patrick's day, so that gave us more reason to think of SHAMROCKS today, too!

Today we shared a breakfast with
friends so dear.
Bob and Jacquie have a way of
just sharing such cheer.
Fancy was the table, and tasty was the meal!
Gracious was their company and
how they made us feel.
People who share kindness,
hold such a special spot,
How I love to be around them and
share in every thought!
We had a real nice weekend,
in spite of Japan's fate.
It sure put things in perspective,
and made me appreciate.
